You may have heard recently that CodeRed missed out on the next round of funding we were hoping for. While this is a shame, it by no means means that we are going to fade into obscurity!
On the contrary, climate change is such a major issue that we will continue to help Nelsonians do their bit to reduce their emissions. The way we do this might change a bit, but we will still at the very least be providing you with tips on things to do.
With global financial "difficulties" being used globally as an excuse to defer action on climate change, it is more important than ever that we insist upon government action to reduce NZ's emissions. Let's not forget that many of the things we can be doing will also benefit our health and communities and save us money! This means that a recession is the perfect time to be investing in emissions reductions.
So keep up the good work people, and please continue to support Nelson Environment Centre and CodeRed!
